A small theatre company with a big heart

Welcome to Acting Impact Theatre, founded in Madrid in 2003 with a passion for theatre and a goal to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for aspiring actors of all levels. Our philosophy is centered around the idea that theatre should be enjoyable and exciting, and that actors should work together to improve their skills and support each other's growth.

Harriet Thompson

Harriet originally comes from Shropshire in the UK. Graduating with a language degree from John Moores University, Liverpool, she started her teaching career in Chile. Moving to Madrid in 2000, she has worked as a language teacher, director of studies and has written arts-based resources for local education authorities, Macmillan publishers and Cambridge Univeristy Press in Spain. She has been acting since childhood and co-directs Acting Impact Theatre Company with Schuyler. She's an enthusiast of the countryside and loves to walk, swim and garden.

Schuyler Hedstrom

Since graduating with an English and Drama degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire (USA), Schuyler has worked as an actor, director and educator. He has taught English through Theatre for more than 20 years in Madrid. He also works as a teacher trainer for Macmillan Education and many Educational Training Centers in Spain, providing training for Primary and Secondary school teachers. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, cooking and reading.
